Wren Annual Conference 2022

Supporting Wren Kitchens for the repeat event we worked closely with the marketing team as to how to incrementally improve on a ‘tried and tested’ event format they were happy with staged at the Bonus Arena, Hull.

Keeping the same format of a large 8m wide x 4.5m central LED wall, flanked with decreasing sizes of two separate 2m wide LED walls either side, we used lighting to make the environment feel different from previous years.

Epix discrete LED battens were used to frame border the LED wall which via pixel mapping was able to reflect the colours and textures of the onscreen content from videos to glitzy award presentations. Addition LED moving lights were used as a screen footer and on ground supported stands on the balcony seats to create depth to the space by having lights from different levels.

Careful production management was essential for the tight load-in, working around the kitchen fitters who installed a full venue width new product demonstration area which we used lighting and a drape reveal to unveil midway through the conference.

Full band sound and lighting management was repeated for the evening entertainment following the prestigious awards which included the use of our red carpet, gold posts and rope and internally lit Perspex awards table.

We were proud of the feedback received on site when the hard work was recognised behind the scenes to ensure everything looked slick on stage. It is always great when either some of the little things we do or the additional thought and attention we give gets noticed and appreciated. We will look forward to supporting again this year.
