Working with a brand-new client, we were tasked with delivering their half-year results presentation in the form of both a pre-recorded video as well as a live Q&A element that would be seamlessly delivered via our bespoke branded registration / streaming platform.

The pre-recorded content would need to be recorded the day prior and an edit turned around within a matter of hours, to then be signed-off and uploaded the platform ready for investors and financial analysts to view the following morning.

Financial analysts would then be invited to partake in a live Q&A session with the Croda CEO and CFO which would be streamed also and recorded for a later edit.

Within a fairly short timeframe, we were able to receive a brief from our client and set the wheels in motion to deliver a seamless results presentation to a high-profile audience.

Our web team created a bespoke branded registration and viewing platform whereby the audience could pre-register for the presentation and receive a unique viewing link via a branded email communication. A reminder email was also sent out 24 hours before the event.

Our content team conducted a site-visit and subsequently filmed the pre-recorded presentation element in East Yorkshire from the client offices. This included a multi-camera shoot, audio recording and autocue. This piece was then edited on-site by our editors and included lower-thirds, slide content and custom transition pieces.

Once signed-off by our client, we then transferred this presentation to our web platform and using our slide-sync solution, timecoded PowerPoint slides to appear in sync’d time with the video content, allowing for a better viewing experience and quicker navigation of the content.

Our digital team also travelled to Yorkshire to set up for the live Q&A webcast element where we would simultaneously stream the pre-recorded content to both our web platform and also Zoom where select financial analysts would be viewing from in preparation to ask live questions to the management team. Text-based questions could also be submitted from our web platform and viewed in real-time via an iPad on the board table.

A simple but elegant backdrop was created in the client offices comprising of a slatted wood panel backdrop, artificial plants and LED uplighters.

Post-event we turned around a quick edit of the Q&A session and upload to the web platform along with a full-transcription of the event. Full viewing analytics were available at any given time to the client as well.

For the pre-record we used 2 x Sony FX6 cameras with a variety of prime lenses, plus Sony wireless microphone lapels. Our Aputure lighting kits were used as well as gimbals to capture B-roll content.

For the live Q&A webcast, our team used VMIX as the main stream mix as well as Zoom for the live incoming callers who were displayed on a custom preview output on a 55” monitor for the board members.

Wired lapel microphones were used as well as simple return speaker monitors for audio.

Our Aputure lighting kits were used for room lighting along with LED wireless uplighters.

We chose to use our range of Sony cinematic cameras to capture the board members which included our FR7 PTZ cameras also. These were mixed live via a Roland switcher before being broadcast via VMIX.

Due to location concerns, we opted to use Instagrid Max One battery power banks that allowed us to continue with the stream in case of local power failure.

We also used a bonded 4G/5G internet solution as well as LiveU to cover any internet bandwidth issues from the location. We ran redundant streams to 2 separate CDN servers also.
